Pregnancy guidance
AvoidGreen sea turtle meat must be avoided completely during pregnancy. It presents serious risks of foodborne Salmonella poisoning and bioaccumulates heavy metals like cadmium and environmental toxins. Green turtles are also an internationally protected endangered species prohibited from commercial harvest and trade. Choose safe low-mercury seafood like wild salmon, cod, or tilapia instead.
