Pregnancy guidance
LimitCaramels should be limited during pregnancy because of their heavy concentration of sugar and butterfat. They offer virtually no vitamins or minerals while supplying dense calories and refined sucrose. Sticky candies can also adhere to dental work and promote cavities during a time of increased gingival sensitivity. Choose a fresh date stuffed with walnut halves when craving a chewy, caramel-like sweetness.

How to read this
During pregnancy you need more of certain nutrients each day, like folate, iron and choline. Each bar shows how much of that daily amount 100 g of Caramels provides. 100% means 100 g alone covers the whole day; smaller numbers show its share. A ✓ marks 100% or more.
