Pregnancy guidance
LimitFish sauce should be limited during pregnancy due to its intense sodium concentration. While commercial fish sauce is fermented and microbiologically safe, a single tablespoon delivers more than half of the recommended daily sodium intake. High salt consumption increases maternal blood pressure risks and swelling. Use tiny dashes of a few drops to season stir-fries rather than generous pours.
