Pregnancy guidance
Safe with precautionsRaw celeriac is safe during pregnancy provided it is thoroughly scrubbed and peeled. It supplies dietary fiber, potassium, phosphorus, and vitamin C to support fluid balance and bone health. Because celeriac is a knobby root vegetable grown underground, CDC advises scrubbing away all caked dirt under running water and cutting away the fibrous outer peel to avoid Toxoplasma. Grate peeled celeriac into a light remoulade with pasteurized yogurt and Dijon mustard.
