Pregnancy guidance
RecommendedReduced-fat cultured buttermilk is recommended during pregnancy as a nutrient-dense dairy choice. It supplies rich dietary calcium, protein, and potassium with lower saturated fat than whole-milk alternatives. Because commercially sold buttermilk is cultured from pasteurized milk, it poses no danger of Listeria. Use it as a tenderizing marinade for lean poultry or enjoy as a chilled beverage.
