Pregnancy guidance
LimitOrange marmalade should be limited during pregnancy because of its high concentration of added sugars. Citrus peel and juice provide minor vitamin C, but large quantities of sugar are required to offset the natural bitterness of orange rinds. High sugar consumption can complicate maternal glycemic management during the second and third trimesters. Spread a single teaspoon over high-fiber sourdough toast.
